Survey reveals baths support
Date published: 14 August 2013
THE proposed closure of Shaw baths has been rejected by hundreds of people in a questionnaire.
The survey, by Friends of Shaw Baths (FOSB), got an overwhelmingly positive response for the pool’s continued life.
More than 700 people completed the questionnaire. The council plans to close the building in 2014.
The FOSB said the survey and draw had increased support for the group. Supporters are hoping to run the baths as a community and charitable trust. Details from John Irlam on 01706-844 448.
