TEN-year-old Chanel Murphy has finally seen her late mum’s wish come true.
Natalie Murphy (27), who died at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice a year ago, had hoped to send her daughter to Disneyworld Florida.
When she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2010 she was unable to fulfil the promise.
As her condition worsened, she set her heart on Disneyland Paris — and set up Natalie’s Wish, which saw friends, family and local groups rally round to raise money.
Donations totalling £10,000 meant Chanel, her grandmother Dawn and great-grandmother Maureen, could finally make the trip to Paris.
Dawn said: “We just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated — it has made Chanel really happy and it was an absolutely brilliant trip.
Two dance troupes of which Natalie had been a member, Pennine Cascades and the Buckley Belles — held fundraisers.
Leftover cash is being used to buy school and other essentials for Chanel.
