Armed police arrest gun suspect

POLICE were called to Talbot Close, Greenacres, yesterday following reports of a man with a gun.
A 59-year-old man was seen aiming a rifle at a house at about 12.15pm, but no shots were fired. He left the scene in a maroon Land Rover.
Police checked several of the man’s known addresses and armed police arrested a man on suspicion of contravening the Firearms Act and breaching a restraining order.
He remains in police custody.
