David enters Hall of Fame
OLDHAM Athletic’s David Broadbent has been inducted into Prostate Cancer UK’s Hall of Fame following his marathon fundraising efforts.

The club’s sales and marketing executive ran the London Marathon in Latics kit in April.

It took him six and a half hours but his mission raised £2,750 for Prostate Cancer UK, the Football League’s official charity.

Broady, as he is known at the club, now joins the likess of Sky Sports News presenter Jeff Stelling and footballers Les Ferdinand and Ray Clemence in the charity’s “Men United” club, for those who have gone out of their way to help the charity.

He said: “I was really taken aback when I received the email telling me about it, I’ve never been put into anything like this before. “
