FLYING high . . . pupils at Newman College are pleased with their results
CGSE: NEWMAN College staff were on hand to congratulate their pupils on amazing GCSE results as the school as a whole once again improved on past years.
Fifty four per cent of pupils achieved five A* to C grades, including English and Mathematics, a jump of one per cent over last yearh
Higher grades also increased at the Broadway-based school: 56 per cent of pupils achieved at least one A*/A, while 39 per cent gained at least three top grades.
Head teacher Mr Michael McGhee said: “We are pleased for the pupils after all their hard work and pleased with the improvements the college has made, especially in view of the challenges we have faced as a school this year.
