GCSE: PUPILS at Crompton House were overjoyed with their results with 14 students achieving 10 or more A*s and A grades.
One student, Fiona Banham, was delighted to achieve eight A*s and four As on results day.
Fiona, who loves music and singing in the choir, said: “I was originally really worried about my science results, but in the end I had nothing to worry about!
“I gave the harder subjects more time when I was revising to make sure I did the best I could.”
The 16-year-old will be staying on at the Rochdale Road school to sit A-levels in English literature, history, geography and French.
Head teacher Sarah Calvert said: “Yet again the pupils of Crompton House School have achieved some excellent GCSE results.
“Our pupils worked really hard on their exams and they have had great help and support from their parents and Crompton House staff.”
