Nightclub man’s attack ordeal

POLICE are hunting for a man who launched a vicious attack on a 26-year-old man as he left an Oldham nightspot with friends.
The victim was walking up Yorkshire Street at around 3am on August 11 when he was hit on the back of the head and fell. He was kicked several times but managed to escape.
His attacker, described as bald-headed and slim, continued to walk up Yorkshire Street.
Det Con Gulnaz Akhtar based at Oldham Police Station said: “This was a completely unprovoked and violent assault that left the victim with cuts and bruises.
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault or saw a man fitting this description to contact us.”
The man was around 5ft 9in tall, in his 30s and wore blue jeans and a blue and white check shirt.
