GCSE: Maths has added up to success for two 11-year-olds
Daanyal Hussain and Hasnaat Arshad, both from Glodwick, notched up B grades after sitting their exams five years early with A-Star Tuition.
Hasnaat’s proud mum Farzana Kauser said: “I was expecting a C but he worked very hard. He loves studying and he loves maths especially.”
He starts at New Charter Academy, Ashton, in September while Daanyaal will attend Waterhead Academy.
His mum Nighat Ibrahim said: “He studies very hard and he has proved everyone wrong. He has enjoyed it.”
Former chartered accountant Neelam Aqil set up A-star Tuition three years ago.
Her other pupils who are celebrating GCSE maths success are sisters Kishwar (15) and Taybah (14) Majeed from Glodwick who scooped a B and C grade respectively.
Rayhan Wadood from Clarksfield chalked up an A* at just the age of 14 and is now studying A-level maths.
Abraz Shakeel from Glodwick and Mohammed Saklain from Coppice, both 12, received Cs.
Afaq Choudary (13) from Glodwick also received a C while big brother Aakash Ahmed (15) got the same grade for core 1 maths — an AS-level exam.
