GREAT RESULTS: pupils at Royton and Crompton school
GCSE: ROYTON and Crompton pupils were jumping for joy after helping the school to notch up record GCSE results.
The number of teenagers receiving at least five A*-C grades, including English and maths, has improved significantly to reach an all-time high of 62 per cent.
High-flying pupils who received large numbers of top grades included Steven Gough-Kelly, Lucy Mellor, Jodie Wong and Hiten Mistry
Acting head teacher Kevin O’Hagan said: “There have been some excellent individual performances and an impressive number of pupils have achieved significant sets of A* and A grades.”
