Saddleworth show in £18k giveaway

CHARITIES have received a £18,000 boost from this year’s Saddleworth Summer Show.
Visitors, organisers and sponsors raised the money at the two-day event held at Saddleworth School, Uppermill, on July 13 and 14.
A total of £1,000 was presented to the Royton hospice while the BBC Radio Manchester £1 million Christie Appeal received £2,000 (for a mobile chemotherapy unit).
Another £3,000 went to charities associated with the show. The Rotary Club of Oldham Metro and Saddleworth Rotary Club, joint organisers of the show, received £6,000 each to donate to their own local and Rotary charities.
