Care team launches healthy jobs drive

A FAMILY-RUN nursing and home-care company is launching a major recruitment drive as demand for its services soars.

Prestige Nursing + Care is seeking to create up to 25 new jobs in its initial phase of recruitment.

Although Middleton-based, the firm covers the whole of North Manchester and surrounding areas, including Oldham, specialising in providing care for people with acquired brain or spinal injuries.

Prestige Nursing + Care is a preferred provider of care for Oldham Council, Rochdale Council and Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group.

Control
Staff will provide home-based support services to young adults who have suffered traumatic injuries, as well as personal care to the elderly and people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, dementia and terminal illnesses.

It is also looking for trained nurses to work on a full or part-time basis, primarily to service their contract with the Pennine Acute Hospital Trust, but also for other organisations that regularly need agency staff, such as care homes, respite centres and community-based projects.

Demand for services has increased as people are given control over their own care budgets and with a national emphasis on allowing people to remain in their own homes as long as possible, rather than going into residential care.

Anyone interested should call 0161-655 4775.
