POLICE are investigating a bizarre case that left a man and a woman in hospital after a stabbing and a road accident.
Detectives say the two incidents, where a woman was stabbed and a man then knocked down by a bus in Oldham last night are linked.
Officers were called to Henshaw Street shortly after 7pm following reports a man was in the road.
The man was then involved in a collision with a bus and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in a stable condition.
A short time later, police were called to the Royal Oldham Hospital, following reports a woman had been admitted with stab wounds. She remains in a stable condition.
Investigating officers then attended a house on Medina Grove, Coldhurst, which was treated as a crime scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
