Giving jobless fair chance of finding work
Date published: 06 September 2013
As part of the Get Oldham Working campaign, the council is working with partners Jobcentre Plus, National Careers Service and SLM Connect, to host a Jobs and Skills Fair on Thursday, September 12 (10am-3pm) at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre.
The event aims to help Oldham residents to access employment opportunities by providing practical advice and support on the application process as well as informing residents about current and future vacancies available in the area.
Workshops
It will feature a range of workshops delivered by real businesses and business people as well as partner agencies that provide support to help you stand out from the crowd to maximise your chance of getting a job. Partners will provide practical advice on unlocking your potential, including making the right first impression, creating a professional CV and selling yourself to potential employers.
