IT’S not only celebrities who can enjoy a relaxing massage — now the babies of Oldham can be treated to the luxurious therapy.
Sarah Limbs set up the baby massage course at the Spring Meadows Children’s Centre, Littlemoor, after being nominated for a special Big Local award to help her fulfil her dreams.
The 36-year-old was given the grant as part of the Star People Awards, delivered by UnLtd, which aims to help people in the community who can transform their own area with unique ideas.
The mum-of-two, who does a lot of charity work with Sure Start Children’s centre, said: “I got into baby massage when I took my youngest to classes and I really enjoyed it.
“When I was nominated for a Star People award, I thought it would be great to set up a baby massage class as there wasn’t the service for people in Greenacres and the surrounding areas.”
Sarah was supported by Star People with a tailored package of funding and support as she gained her qualification and set up her business, Limbs Baby Massage.
Now Sarah voluntarily hosts a free 5-week course for parents who want to learn the skills of baby massage at the centre, which is in the grounds of Littlemoor Primary School.
