Bargain hunt night for students

STUDENTS will be quids in at a special Oldham town centre event that will give them shopping discounts and freebies.
The “Student Lock Down” is taking place at Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre on Thursday, September 26, from 6.30-9pm.
Oldham Athletic, Oldham College, University Campus Oldham, the Blue Coat School, the Oproject and Oldham Town Centre have teamed together to create the exclusive event for students.
All local students are invited where they will be able to benefit from exclusive discounts and giveaways in the centre.
Participating stores are providing one-off offers for students carrying a valid student card on the night.
A centre spokeswoman said: “From top fashion to student supplies, students will not want to miss the elite discounts and giveaways from the retailers in the centre.”
Students are encouraged to register their attendance online at www.spindlestownsquareshoppingcentre.co.uk. Once registered, the students will receive a discount pass to present on entry to the centre on the night.
