Stab probe: attempted murder charge

A Coldhurst man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in her home.
Barik Miah (35), of Medina Grove, Coldhurst, was due to appear at Oldham Magistrates’ Court today.
Police were called to the Royal Oldham Hospital on September 2, following reports a woman had been admitted with stab wounds. The victim remains in a stable condition after being stabbed in her house in Medina Grove.
Earlier that evening police were called to Oldham’s Henshaw Street and found Miah, who was in a collision with a bus. He was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
