Attempted murder charge

A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following the stabbing of a woman in her Oldham home.

Barik Miah (35), of Medina Grove, Coldhurst, appeared at Oldham Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Police were called to the Royal Oldham Hospital on September 2 following reports a woman had been admitted with stab wounds. She is in a stable condition.

Miah was later found in the road, injured after a collision with a bus

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester Crown Square on September 18.
