Spray attack leaves man with face burns

A MAN suffered burns after two youths threw a liquid in his face.
The 41-year-old victim was walking along Leesbrook bridle path near to Wellyhole Street when the youths asked for a light then sprayed a liquid into the his face. As he fell they walked away.
The victim was taken to hospital with minor chemical burns.
Det-Con Andrew Swettenham said: “Fortunately he wasn’t badly injured but we are treating this attack seriously.”
The offenders were Asian and aged about 16. One was 5ft 4in tall and skinny, with short black hair, shaved lines in his left eyebrow and a thin line of hair along his jawline. He wore a black tracksuit top with a red stripe down the arms and charcoal-coloured jeans. He had a local accent.
The other was 5ft 7in and skinny with black hair, thick eyebrows and a hooked nose. He wore a brown scarf, black tracksuit top with a silver badge, and black jeans.
