COP killer Dale Cregan’s mother and a Greater Manchester Police call handler have appeared in court accused of conspiracy to commit misconduct.
Anita Cregan (56) and Kathryn Smith (25) are charged alongside Smith’s boyfriend, Sean Booth (30).
Cregan appeared at the Manchester Crown Court hearing by video link from Styal women’s prison, and Booth by videolink from Strangeways.
Smith, who is on bail, stood in the dock as all three entered not guilty pleas.
Cregan and Booth are charged with conspiracy to commit misconduct in a public office between August 1 and September 1, last year, by causing Smith to reveal confidential information available through her job as a GMP call handler.
Booth and Smith face the same charge between September 1 and September 9, last year. The pair also deny a charge of conspiracy to steal, between January-December 2011, and a charge of conspiracy to possess Ecstasy pills.
A bail application for Anita Cregan and Booth was refused by Judge Michael Henshell and both were remanded in custody.
