£25,000 hospice target

FUND-RAISERS at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice are aiming to raise £25,000 with their next midnight walk.
The Royton hospice holds a midnight walk every September: this year around 250 people took part
But as part of the hospice’s 25th anniversary next year, the organisers hope to attracted at least 250 walkers who will each pledge £100, making the result £1,000 for each year the hospice has been in operation
The aim is to enlist 100 local companies, pubs or groups, each of which can sign up 25 employees to commit to raise £1 a month for the next 10 months — making £25,000 altogether. Small firms with fewer than 25 employees can join forces to make a joint offering.
Lisa added: “Individuals can do their bit too. If they let us know they are willing to collect £1 a month they can help to sponsor a walker.
