Mystery as firm stops trading

MYSTERY surrounds the closure of a long-established plumbing and electrical business.
Springhead-based Lawrence Perrins & Sons has stopped trading, according to a message on its office phone system.
Callers to its Oldham Road office are told: “Due to unforseen circumstances we are sorry to report that Lawrence Perrins & Sons is no longer trading. Thank you.”
The well-known firm was established in 1947 and had domestic and commercial customers and serviced offices, industrial building and homes.
