Nick and David Bolan - organisers of the Austerlands music festival
THE father and son team who launched a musical festival featuring top local bands have vowed to stage a bigger event next year.
Austerlands Cricket Club became a mini tent village on Friday and Saturday as music lovers stayed overnight to dance and enjoy the bands.
Music at the Brewed In Britain Festival 2 varied from rock to acoustic, with other attractions.
Organisers Nick Bolan (30), a Scouthead musician and his father David, a builder, staged the first Brewed In Britain Festival a few weeks ago in Greenfield.
Nick said: “It’s been a great experience. We have learned a lot from the two events and the feedback has been very encouraging.
“We are studying the possibility of launching a single, bigger event next year. It would would be interesting if we could turn Saddleworth into a mini version of Glastonbury.”
