MORE than 1,000 jobseekers visited the Oldham Jobs and Skills Fair 2013 - part of Oldham Council’s “Get Oldham Working” campaign.
The free event at Oldham Library provided advice for residents striving to get back on the employment ladder.
Advisers from the Get Oldham Working team, employers, the Job Centre and the National Careers Service ran interactive workshop sessions to help unlock avenues for job hunters and enhance job search skills.
More than 30 local employers attended, to promote more than 550 job opportunities
Councillor Amanda Chadderton, cabinet member for education, employment and skills said: “This has been an extremely successful event, especially with the huge support we have had from local employers.”
