THE scene in Foxdenton Lane after this branch crashed down on a nurse’s car
A NURSE was shocked when a large branch smashed into her windscreen as she drove.
Jennifer Dalloway was able to keep her car under control to avoid an even worse accident.
The drama happened as the 26 year old Eaves Lane, Chadderton resident was driving in Foxdenton Lane.
The branch fell from a large tree in Foxdenton Park and smashed into Jennifer’s car before also hitting a van, which escaped damage.
Witnesses helped Jennifer from the car before calling the police.
Jennifer said: “I passed the park and all of a sudden there was a big smash on my window and I hit my head on the steering wheel as I had to slam the brakes on.
“I’m really shaken up. I’m in a bit of a daze. I have a headache and my shoulder hurts.”
Jennifer is now considering legal action.
