MORE than 1,000 16 to 19-year-olds are benefiting from “Study Money” launched by Oldham College last month.
Those on a household income of £21,000 or less get money to manage expenses such as travel, lunches and books. The college is putting in up to £500,000, alongside government support.
Oldham councillor Amanda Chadderton said: “It is great to see the introduction of the Study Money scheme already providing vital support to more than 1,000 college students. High praise must go to the college, which is doing everything it can to help students’ education.”
