Nine accused of £500k fraud

NINE men — including one from Oldham — have been charged following an investigation into a £500,000 credit card scam.
Sohail Khan (25), of Grange Avenue, Werneth, and eight others from Rochdale, are accused of conspiracy to defraud wholesale companies between June, 2011, and November, 2012.
The charges relate to compromised credit cards being used to place orders with wholesale companies on the telephone.
It is believed more than 60 crimes were commited across the country over 18 months, with goods worth around £500,000.
