Teenager recovering

A TEENAGER who suffered serious head injuries when he was hit by a car in Hathershaw is recovering well in hospital.
The 16-year-old boy was in a collision with a Subaru at the junction of Ashton Road and Villa Road at 7.20pm on Friday.
Doctors expect him to be allowed home soon.
Police are now appealing for witnesses. Anyone who saw the incident should call 0161-856 4741.
