Shoppers welcome new store

OLDHAM’S new Matalan store was offically opened by the Mayor, Councillor John Hudson, yesterday. Hundreds of shoppers turned up to browse — and the first 250 were given an extra discount on the things they bought.
Offering a larger selection of products than before, officials hope the new development will breathe fresh life into the Alexandra Park retail area.
