Man shot in head by pellet gun

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was lucky to escape with minor injuries after he was shot in the temple with an air rifle in Failsworth.
The victim, who was a passenger in a van, was hit by a pellet as the van waited at traffic lights at the junction of Oldham Road and Poplar Street. The pellet was removed in hospital
Police are appealing for witnesses in the area at the time - around 3pm on October 25.
Det Con Kelly Bragg said: “The man is extremely lucky to have escaped without suffering any long lasting damage.”
