They’re full of beans

A FAST, funny and colourful show can be expected by audiences at Oldham Coliseum’s annual festive pantomime when Jack and the Beanstalk opens this Saturday.
And panto stalwarts Richard J Fletcher and Fine Time Fontayne are returning for their sixth straight year at the Fairbottom Street theatre.
Mr Fletcher will assume the role of Simple Simon Trott while Fine Time will play Dame Trott and both men are confident that this years’ show is the best yet.
Fine Time said: “It’s an exciting story which is quite moving, funny and something that everyone will recognise.
“We have developed a great connection over the last few years and we are now very good at what we do and working towards the same end.
“It’s witty, fast and funny and the best pantomime in the area.”
The pair first linked up during a show at the West Yorkshire Playhouse and have become something of a double act.
Mr Fletcher was born and raised in Oldham and has returned to his roots to start a family after spending 17 years in London.
Fine Time, despite feeling like an adopted Oldhamer, lives in Lincolnshire and drives between the two for rehearsals.
