Bin bag high fashion

Date published: 19 November 2013

WHEN your other half says that you’d look good wearing a bin bag, its not often they mean it literally.

But with Recycle for Greater Manchester’s award-winning upcycled fashion show returning to the stage on Wednesday, that could all change.

Hosted at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), the free fashion show hopes to inspire the public to rediscover their wardrobes and fall back in love with their clothes.

With a variety of unique and extraordinary upcycled collections, including fashion made from rubbish and recycled materials, there will be plenty of stalls and exhibitions for browsing before the show.

Sheridan Hilton, waste prevention manager at Recycle for Greater Manchester, said: “This is the third year of the upcycled fashion show and we are partnering with a range of fantastic and diverse organisations to inspire and encourage residents in Greater Manchester to upcycle and make the most of their clothes.
