Resident stabbed on doorstep

A ROYTON man was stabbed in the hand as three men tried to force their way into his home in High Barn Street.
One of the three knocked on the victim’s door and all thre forced their way in when it ws opened.
Though the victim managed to keep them out, one of the attackers stabbed him in the hand with a screwdriver before they ran off.
The three were in their late teens or early 20s, around 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. One wore a grey T-shirt, one a black T-shirt and one a light-blue hooded top.
