Man, 57, tied and beaten in terror raid

A MAN was tied up with a sock taped in his mouth at his own home in Hathershaw.
The 57 year old had just returned home when he answered a knock on the door and a man burst in, punching him several times and demanding cash.
A woman then went upstairs at the property in Wyndale Road. They tied his hands and feet, put a sock in his mouth and covered it with tape. The incident happened before midnight on December 1 The pair stole money.
The male attacker was white with blonde hair, in his mid-20s to early 30s, stocky build and about 5ft 8in tall. The woman wasn’t seen.
