A YOUNG mum has been stabbed to death just weeks after moving into a new home in Fitton Hill.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Victoria Adams at the rented house in Springwood Hall Road.

Emergency services were called to the detached property shortly after 10am yesterday. Victoria had been stabbed in the chest and was taken to hospital, but suffered a cardiac arrest and died.

Police are guarding the cordoned-off house.

Neighbours said Victoria had only moved in a few weeks ago: “It is shocking. I only spoke to her once or twice. I saw her going in with a baby and had word with her, just a hello,” said one..

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the 29-year-old man remained in custody for questioning.
