Child sex grooming inquiry to begin
Date published: 10 December 2013
POLICE and crime commissioner Tony Lloyd has announced an inquiry will be held into child sex exploitation to protect youngsters following the Rochdale grooming case.
The Coffey Inquiry will begin in the new year after two men from Oldham, along with seven from Rochdale, were jailed last year for operating an exploitation ring.
The inquiry will speak to agencies, experts, victims and their families to make recommendations on the response to the Rochdale case and the wider issue of child sexual exploitation.
