NEW era . . . Taj Palace owner Mohammed Saleem
AN Oldham business is keen to expunge the past after prosecution for multiple breaches of food hygiene laws.
Owner Mohammed Saleem has turned the Taj Palace into a private function venue. He and his son Rasib have been working to rebuild their reputation after the former restaurant was charged with offences including failure to deal with mouse infestation and failure to clean and maintain the restaurant.
But after tackling the issues with the help of specialist clean-up teams, the pair have vowed to offer new customers high standards of cleanliness and service.
“We let our customers down and we apologise for that,” said Mr Saleem. “The people of Oldham have been very good to us and we disappointed them but we have made many changes and we are moving forward and we can assure people it will not happen again.”
