BUY a brick... for Latics’ new North Stand
LATICS fans can secure their place in the club’s history by buying a brick for the new North Stand.
For £100, supporters can bag a brick in the “Legends Wall of Fame”.
Ten former players — Joe Royle, Andy Ritchie, Roger Palmer, Bert Lister, Bobby Johnstone, Eric Gemmell, Ian Wood, David Eyres, Jimmy Frizzell and supporters’ choice Alan Groves — will be immortalised with an engraved gold brick in a prime location in the new stand.
Each of these will be surrounded by six silver bricks, which are the ones now being offered.
The bricks, on sale from today, can be engraved with the buyer’s name. Standard bricks are also available on the Wall of Fame for a one-off £50. More details on the club website, www.oldhamathletic.co.uk.
Latics commercial manager Jenny Warburton said: “The new stand is an exciting development for both the club and the town and it is only right that we give our loyal supporters the chance to be a part of it.
The North Stand is set to open for the 2014-15 season.
