Tributes flood in for accident victims

Hundreds of tributes and prayers for the young girls and their families have been posted on social networking sites overnight.
Heyside Juniors Football club: “RIP and our thoughts to the 12-year-old girl and her family and we hope the 11-year-old girl pulls through. Shaw doesn’t deserve more tragedy.”
Michelle Haining: “God bless the young girl tragically killed in an accident in Shaw. Heartbreaking news.”
George Needham : “RIP to the girl that died in Shaw tonight. My thoughts are with her family.”
Ellie Rose: “Absolutely horrific what’s happened in Shaw. My thoughts to the families of both girls and prayers that the surviving girl will pull through.”
Crompton Councillor Diane Williamson said: "It is so sad to hear about the two young girls in the accident on Milnrow Road, Shaw, yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with you."
Writing on Facebook, Andrew Pilling said: “Please extend the sympathy of the people in the Shaw area to the family of the poor girl taken too early in today’s tragic accident, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.”
