Prison death probe

AN Oldham man convicted of sex offences has been found dead in prison, prompting an investigation.
Jason Roseweir (44) was discovered hanged at Wymott Prison, Preston, where he had been serving a seven-and-a-half year sentence.
He was jailed in January 2012, after pleading guilty to three charges of indecent assault and sexual assault.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: “Prisoner Jason Roseweir was found unresponsive in his cell by prison staff at 8.30am on Monday December 9.
It has been reported Roseweir had attempted to take his own life on two previous occasions.
