CLUB officials in a Saddleworth village are hopeful an injection of new ideas will help them map out future development plans.
Armed with members’ suggestions from Dobcross Band club members, they now plan to ask other sections of the club to contribute ideas and are keen to boost activities at the band’s social club in Platt Lane.
A spokesperson said: “We are keen to increase the use of the building by the wider community and would welcome any suggestions how this can be achieved.”
Last year, the club secured £10,000 from the National Lottery at a time when many of Saddleworth’s historic band clubs are fighting to survive.
The ‘Awards for All’ grant was used to help fund the cost of replacing a leaking flat roof at the club which was in danger of collapsing.
