DCT legal costs to blame
Date published: 14 January 2014
FAILED Oldham company DCT went into administration following a lengthy legal dispute with Liverpool City Council, it has been revealed.
Joint administrators Tom Jack and Sam Woodward, from Ernst Young, said despite judgment for DCT Group, the company was still required to pay legal costs it couldn’t afford.
The company was declared insolvent two days before Christmas. The shock left the majority of the 100 workers redundant.
Based at Prospect House in Featherstall Road South, Werneth, DCT had an annual turnover of around £37 million. The joint administrators are looking for offers for the group’s contracts, property and equipment.
