OLDHAMERS are being invited to set questions for the second Oldham Fairness Commission hearing, on inequalities in employment.
Oldham East and Saddleworth MP Debbie Abrahams created the commission, which aims to identify inequalities in education, employment and income and to define action to address problems.
The Labour MP has already held an inquiry on education and is now inviting questions on employment for a panel of experts to answer
She will chair the hearing tomorrow from 2.30pm-4pm at the Centre (Positive Steps), Union Street.
The session will run in “select committee” format, with analysis of data, policies and evidence, written evidence submissions and oral hearings from expert witnesses.
The commission has asked for evidence which would contribute to its understanding of the current and historical differences in employment for different groups.
