A MUM accused of murdering her seven-week-old son will stand trial at Preston Crown Court in July.
Katarzyna Gacek (24), of Roundthorn Road, Clarksfield, is charged with the murder and neglect of Tomas Gacek who died of severe head injuries.
A trial date of July 9 has been provisionally set pending the outcome of investigations.
Katarzyna’s boyfriend Darren Butterfield (35), of Ross Avenue, Chadderton, and her landlord David Mokranowski (26), of Hillside Avenue, Clarksfield, are charged with neglect.
Both men deny the charge and are remanded in custody but it is expected that they will apply for bail in the next few days. All three will attend Manchester’s Crown Square Crown Court to enter pleas on May 13.
