High Point Hotel: fire probe
AN investigation is underway to find the cause of a fire at a derelict Oldham hotel that led to the resuce of an elderly woman.
Three fire engines from Oldham, Hollins and Chadderton rushed to the former High Point Hotel in Napier Street East late on Wednesday night. The fire started in a garage attached to flats being renovated.
A woman was rescued from one of the flats, but declined hospital treatment. Two dogs were also rescued.
