Delph in darkness
Date published: 11 February 2014
PARTS of Saddleworth were in darkness early this morning after an electrical fault.
Street lights along Huddersfield Road were out and an electricity engineering van had arrived on the scene, with its crew putting bollards out on the street.
Lights were out from Delph cricket ground along a significant stretch of Huddersfield Road, while homes in the area also appeared to be in darkness.
Electricity North-West, which manages power supplies in the area, was unavailable to provide further details as the Chronicle went to press this morning.
