Park picked for Lineker TV ad

Former England player Gary Lineker and Manchester United football player Shinji Kagawa were in Oldham’s Alexandra Park recently — filming a mobile phone commercial that will be seen in Japan.

The location manager chose Alexandra Park because he thought it was one of the most well-preserved parks in Greater Manchester and believed it made for ideal filming. The film crew were there for several days.
