Drinkers show thirst for festival
Date published: 04 March 2014
Drinkers raised up to £2,000 at this year’s Saddleworth Beer Festival last weekend.
Organised by Saddleworth Round Table, the event sold out many of its beers on opening night and new supplies had to be delivered to cope with demand.
Ian Eardley, Round Table chairman, said proudly: “This year’s festival was a resounding success. We had a record turnout and terrific support from the public.
Money raised will go towards the annual Round Table Christmas party for local elderly people.
