Military-style fitness camp Commando Joes has been given £50,000 by an anonymous donor to run events aimed at inspiring young people in Oldham.
Founded by former Failsworth man Mike Hamilton, Commando Joes hires ex-military personnel to visit schools to help improve attainment, behaviour, attendance and fitness.
The money will mean schools will be able to receive free visits from the team and take part in an inter-school competition.
Mike, a former commando and army personal trainer, said: “We are really pleased to have received the donation. It will help our goal to visit as many schools in Oldham as possible and deliver our message.
Interested schools should email info@commandojoes.co.uk or visit the website at www.commandojoes.co.uk.
