Probe into blaze that left man injured

INVESTIGATIONS continue into the cause of a fire in an antiques warehouse that left a 69-year-old man in hospital.
Fire crews from Hollins, Chadderton and Oldham attended the blaze at Wrigley head and rescued the man from the building. He was taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke.
Firefighters were on site with police crime scene investigators most of yesterday and the road outside the building was closed
Norman Bright, who lives close by, said he heard banging on a door then saw smoke coming from the building on Monday morning.: “I saw the man being helped out,” he said.
The man is believed to have been rescued from the Yesterday and Today Antique Mall, which hasn’t operated in the building for long.
Greater Manchester Fire Service said it may be be able to reveal the cause of the fire today.
