Royal date for college

THE Duke of Gloucester will give the royal seal of approval to Oldham College’s new £7 million learning centre.
He will open the five-storey building on Thursday, April 24. It includes 28 classrooms, a community area, student-support facilities and a new main entrance for the college.
The centre is the first phase of a £25 million development which also includes a University Technical College specialising in sustainable engineering and construction, and the UK’s first career college which will offer digital and creative courses.
The Duke will also visit Waterhead Academy which is sponsored by Oldham College.
